Minom · Lecture notes

AI lecture notes for learning, revision and review.

Turn a recorded lecture into a readable transcript, key concepts and an AI summary. Minom keeps lectures in their own library, separate from meetings and everyday voice notes.

How to use Minom for lecture notes

Step 1

Get permission and choose Lecture

Check your institution’s recording rules and obtain any required permission. Select Lecture and the language spoken in the class.

Step 2

Capture clear audio

Place your device where it can hear the lecturer. Pause for breaks, then save the recording when the lecture ends. Your remaining plan balance still applies.

Step 3

Build a revision routine

Review the summary and transcript together. Check technical terms and use the notes to identify topics to revise, rather than treating AI output as an authoritative source.

Keep learning separate from action items

A lecture is not a business meeting. Lecture mode focuses the summary on the material being taught, while the dedicated Lectures library makes it easier to return to class recordings during revision.

Questions before you record

Can Minom summarize a long lecture?

Yes, longer recordings use the existing long-audio processing flow. You still need enough plan minutes, and longer audio can take more time to upload and process.

Can I import an existing lecture recording?

Yes. Use the audio upload option and select a cloud transcription route matching the recording. On-device Apple language choices are not used for imported audio.

Should I replace my textbook with AI lecture notes?

No. Use the notes as a revision aid. Check important facts, formulas and terminology against the lecture, textbook or instructor’s material.
